Agnieszka is a licensed tax adviser with over 20 years of experience advising Polish and international enterprises and capital groups. She specialises in ongoing tax advisory services in the areas of corporate income tax, VAT, excise duty and local taxes. A significant part of her practice involves supporting clients from the automotive sector, in particular in relation to distribution and cross-border activities.
She advises clients on day-to-day tax matters as well as on issues requiring analysis of tax regulations, case law and the practice of tax authorities. She supports clients in identifying tax risks, developing secure settlement models and implementing solutions tailored to the specific nature of their business. She also has experience in advising on M&A transactions, including mergers, demergers and transformations of companies, as well as transactions involving enterprises and assets.
Agnieszka has experience in handling disputes with tax authorities and representing clients in tax proceedings and proceedings before administrative courts. She has successfully conducted cases concerning, among others, R&D tax relief, real estate tax on containers and tent halls, as well as excise duty on double-cab vehicles and mild hybrids, obtaining favourable judgments before WSA and the NSA.
She prepares and implements tax procedures and instructions enabling clients to exercise due care and mitigate tax risks. These include, in particular, procedures for documenting intra-Community supplies and exports, excise duty settlements related to structural modifications of vehicles, and preparation for invoicing under the National e-Invoicing System.
She gained her professional experience at renowned advisory firms, including Grant Thornton, KPMG Tax and EY Tax Advisory, where she held senior and managerial positions. Since 2018, she has been running her individual tax practice in cooperation with SLS Law Firm.
Agnieszka combines a very good knowledge of tax regulations, case law and the practice of tax authorities with a business-oriented approach to advisory services, taking into account both the client’s tax security and the practical realities of its business operations.
Education:
Agnieszka graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She also completed postgraduate studies in taxation at the Poznań School of Banking and postgraduate studies in accounting at the Poznań University of Economics. In January 2009, she was entered on the list of licensed tax advisers.
